3 quick and easy ways to create tiktoks/reels - TikTalk For Business [TFB]
Here’s the drop y’all eagerly have been waiting for!
To start off, I just want to thank 150+ of you who signed-up for this newsletter and thank you for your patience!
There are so many things to talk about so I got into analysis paralysis and didn’t know where to start
You have already waited long enough so let’s get into it!
Reason #1 why you or your brand must be on Tiktok
On platforms like Google or other socials people only discover you when they have an intent to search AND if you win the keywords war.
On platforms like Reels or Titkok consumers will come across your content without an intent. The algorithm will automatically show it to the people who’d find it valuable. Once people see you a few times, they will automatically associate you as an expert and their trusted advisor. So when they’re ready for your services, it will make an easy decision for them :)
Just because I’ve talked about design topics and tools, it’s crazy how many people think I am a professional graphic designer
3 super easy ways you can film content
Getting chores done
Just record yourself doing anything. It could be as mundane as making your bed, setting up your desk, driving somewhere, picking up groceries, doing dishes, etc. I hope you get the idea haha
Then pick a sound matching the vibe and overlay a block of text on the video.
The text could be a TLDR of a blog post related to your niche, your personal story, or a news relevant to your industry. We will dive into generating content ideas next week :)
Here’s a video of Jason from OthersideAI just on his VR headset and he got like 500k views! ( 👋 Jason if you’re reading this)
This style works because people relate to the thing you’re doing. The authenticity it brings make viewers relate to you at a personal level :)
When the beat drops!
Pick a 5-9 second sound with a beat drop every 1 second or so. Similar to text overlay videos, record yourself doing something and drop text at every beat.
If you’re feeling more comfortable, instead of doing a chore, you can also lip sync to the song or do a little dance because why not
This style of video is perfect if you want to lay out few points. New point for each beat drop :)
Here’s one of the videos I made using similar style.
Talk to the camera
Talking to the camera can be a little intimidating for most people. But, it’s all in your head. We’ve all spent countless hours on Zoom calls so you already know what to do.
While talking to camera just think you’re in another zoom call, talking to a colleague!
An easy hack is to just turn the camera on and go for a drive, think about talking to the passenger and forget about the camera (as it also the safest thing to do)
This style works well if you want to share an idea with the world :)
Here’s one of my videos for reference. But you’ll see tons of people creating content from the car.
(If I record from my car, does anyone know if I can list it as a business expense lol)
Now, the content must be about the user, you’re here to just add value. Then even if you get like 100 views, ~5 people might check out your profile and that’s 5 new people learning about your business for free!
Next week, I will share 3 ways to generate content ideas for your channe
Filming Tip of Week
Tip#1 → your first take is your best take. It’s going to be the most authentic version.
If you ask any content creator the story behind their most viral video, the common response is something they just filmed in under a minute.
It’s a weird paradox but the longer you spend on a video, the worst it performs.

Teal is a job tracking app and this video got 350k+ views on their own channel! Let’s break it down
It worked because people were able to relate to the problem. It did not need any explanation. Everyone has been a job seeker at some point and they know that there’s no easy way to track the job applications. Viewers were curious on implementing the same for themselves.
The first 3 seconds are the most critical. You want at least 50% of people to watch the first 3-4 seconds. They hooked people in by showing how OP has managed to organize all their job applications while turning it into a story. They created a mystery where viewers want to know if the OP ended up getting at least 1 offer or not.

Hit Post!
So that’s it for today!
Now here’s what you need to do!
Open your tiktok and record a video, talking about anything you’re interested in or just how amazing this newsletter is and hit post.
Still can’t think of anything, here’s a content idea: Your origin story! Just talk about why you’re building the product you’re building or offering the services you’re offering
Posting is just a mental block and the only way to get over it is by doing it over and over again! Not recording it and letting it sit in your drafts but actually posting it!
Anyway, I’ll see you next time!
PS: Let me know what are the most burning questions you have. There’s so many things to cover like Tiktok Ads, Tiktok Trends, working with influencers, content ideas, hooks, transitions, growing the brand channel or how to film. I’d love to know what matters the most to you :)
